Tequila mockingbird

Literary Mocktail - Modern Classic

This mocktail is an alcohol-free version of a classic cocktail and can be enjoyed at any time of day.

Hint: for greatest visual effect add just the slightest amount of grenadine syrup, watch it sink to the bottom and then slowly rise to the top as you drink.

Did you know? Mocktail made from orange juice and grenadine

Current Australian Guidelines recommend that to reduce the risk of harm from alcohol-related disease or injury, healthy adults should drink no more than 10 standard drinks a week and no more than 4 standard drinks on any one day. The less you drink, the lower your risk of harm from alcohol.

How can you reduce your intake?

  • Enjoy a mocktail!
  • Drink water instead of alcohol an use it quench your thirst.
  • Sip alcoholic drinks slowly.
  • Alternate alcoholic drinks with water.

Want to cut down on your drinking?

NSW Health runs a free telephone coaching service to help people who want to reduce their alcohol consumption.
