A LIAC Centre of Excellence Award recognises innovative and creative achievement in promoting the Find Legal Answers service to the local community
A LIAC Centre of Excellence Award recognises innovative and creative achievement in the provision of legal information.
To be eligible to nominate for the Award your library must have fulfilled the conditions of the LIAC Agreement and be able to demonstrate that it has initiated an innovative project, promotional strategy, marketing campaign or program which has increased awareness and use of the Find Legal Answers service within the community.
Many libraries nominate Law Week events for the Award, but it doesn't have to be for a specific Law Week event. Any activity which increases awareness and use of the Find Legal Answers service is eligible. This could be something as simple as regular distribution of bookmarks to your local court, or regular articles in your council newsletter about the service. Of course, many of your wonderful and innovative Law Week events also increase awareness and use of the service in your communities, so they can certainly be the basis of your nomination.
Entries close in August each year, and the Award is presented at the NSW Law and Justice Foundation's Justice Awards Dinner in October.
